Training and Development

We believe the future of our company rests on the knowledge, skills, teamwork and integrity of all our people. Bookham therefore maintains a strong focus on the continuous development of every employee. We plan each person’s development by analysing individual training needs and the company’s requirements at an organizational level. We then use this data to identify appropriate training.

Many of our courses are developed and delivered specifically to meet the needs of Bookham people. We offer courses in-house or in partnership with centres of excellence throughout the world, with topics ranging from standard software applications to specific optical technology or people management skills.

Our international management team is drawn from a wide range of industries, including telecommunications, electronics and manufacturing. We support and nurture this diversity by sponsoring staff through professional study programs leading to relevant qualifications, such as first or masters degrees and MBA accreditation
