850 nm High speed multimode VCSELs
Designed to meet stringent Gigabit Ethernet and Fiber Channel standards, The Bookham high speed multimode VCSEL products are Telcordia qualified and used in multimode transceiver applications. Over the last 10 years, the product reliability has been continuously improved reaching now MFT values > 10^7 hours at 40 °C, 6mA. The chip has been designed to operate reliably in humid environments, enabling the realization of innovative and robust small form factor assembly concepts. Increasingly these robust devices find applications outside the traditional datacom area. Bookham offers the high speed 850 nm product family as chips, in TO and TOSA assemblies with monitor diodes.
